It is always said that Language is dying or flourishing but basically it is the Script that preserves the language. Being a #Punjabi I feel so fortunate that we are one of those communities who has their own Alphabets (ਅੱਖਰ) so let’s cherish & admire this treasure.1: It is the very first time in the history of Punjabi Music, a song is created on the basis of the glorification of the #SCRIPT of it’s native language.2: I am dedicating this Song to River #SUTLEJ {ਸਤਲੁਜ} because of it’s testimony of major Gurmukhi writings.3: This literary sonata is giving the appropriate importance to many of the unsung elements of this #Culture.4: Gurmukhi Da Beta is particularly capturing the wider area from Farmers to Lovers of this land. ( Plz listen to the #FullAudio )5: An admirable significant connection between Punjabi & #Sufism starts from 12th century, the period of Sheikh Farid, considered as the first Poet of Punjabi Language. It is saying that the word PUNJAB came in writing after that, otherwise this land was known as the Land of Seven Rivers ( #SaptSindhu -Rigveda ) from the time of Indus Valley Civilisation.6: According to the Historians the roots of #GURMUKHI Script are lying in the 13th century in the form of Sharda, Tankri & Lande but Sikh Gurus has reformed & emended this script and the devotees has given it the name of Gurmukhi.7: This is an effort to unite the ancient geographical formation of this land, including the two significant Rivers: Sindh & Ghaggar with Five Rivers of #Punjab : Sutlej, Beas, Ravi, Chenab & Jhelum, that’s the reason behind the title of the Album ; SEVEN RIVERS The cinematography and genre of Music is portraying the Global appeal, a conscious approach.
